In 1985, a group of Tuscaloosa physicians opened the Tuscaloosa Surgical Center with a mission to provide the community with an alternative to hospital-based outpatient surgery. They envisioned a state-of-the-art, convenient facility with warm and friendly service.

Twenty-four years and over 200,000 surgical cases later, the Surgical Center continues to deliver on the original vision of our founders. Offering same-day outpatient surgery in the specialties of ENT, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, Pain Management, Gastroenterology, Plastic Surgery, GYN, Retina Surgery and Oral Surgery; the Surgical Center provides personal care that makes a difference – one patient at a time.
